The Boyle - a outdoor education centre situated
at the beginning of the St James Walkway
(near the Lewis Pass).
The weather was awful; lots of wind & rain,
but this did not stop us from photographing
the fungi on the forest floor.
Fungi photography is a first for me,
Alice kindly lent me her Macro lense
which opened up a whole new world -
most of the fungi are just so tiny
maybe a inch high, all have fancy
names that I am yet to learn
......take a look......
Alice celebated her birthday on the

Well for a first time 'fungi hunter' you have done so well, and I guess that you are now hooked. They are the forests little treasurer's!!
