Moetapu Rd, Pelorus Sound.

We recently spent a few days with friends Jane &
Graeme at their holiday home overlooking Pelorus
Sound. Their home is surrounded by ferns, manuka &
kanuka trees and many other natives. The weather
played its part giving us some true Kiwi summer days.

These beautiful trees surround their home

This wee baby Tui was calling for his mother,
making a heck of a racket......was very fluffy,
just fledged I think.

The Agapanthus grow very well here, and were
in full flower. They made a lovely contrast against
the green ferns.

The garden shed.....great colours!

Hydranga's also were showing their colours

The fern & tree lined drive leading down to their house
......stunning

This old boatshed oozed character, just along the beach
......a working bee had been started to tidy it up.

These subtle colours at dusk

We went for a walk up into the bush.....this is the
waterfall - there has been no rain for some time.

Shortly after leaving Havelock, I saw this old church
sharing a paddock with a couple of sheep.

What a wonderful place to go too, and as per usual you found some beautiful images of water, plants, trees and flowers, and must not forget the baby bird.
Well done Lorraine, The weed as you call it along the side of the road I think is called Queen Anne's lace, beautiful,
Love Pam
